韩晓东,国家杰出青年基金获得者,百千万人才工程国家级人选,教育部长江特聘教授,北京市教育工委创新标兵,北京市优秀共产党员。其长期从事建设在国际领域独具特色的材料先进性能与显微结构演化关系的研究平台并开展创新性相关科学问题研究,并取得成绩,作为主要完成人参与的“Si和SiC 低温大应变塑性行为的发现”入选“2007年中国高等院校十大科技进展”。韩晓东2012年获郭可信杰出学者奖。

1)与合作者通过多种原创性的、基于透射电子显微镜的实验技术与方法,解决了制约国际透射电子显微学领域里原位变形纳米单体材料但无法同时实现原子分辨水平的原位观察的国际难题,并据此发展了针对普通块体样品的通用研究技术(获授权国家发明专利30余项,国际专利2项),较系统的解决了这一国际瓶颈性技术难题,并应用此类技术系统的开展了材料的弹-塑性转变的原子机制的系列科学问题研究;2)长期从事相变信息存储材料应用基础研究,承担国家重大基础研究专项项目,产生重要创新性成果,为我国研制成具有自主知识产权的PCRAM试验芯片,做出贡献。3)在人才培养方面,为北京市培养了多名学术骨干。培养毕业10余名博士研究生,20余名硕士研究生。其中:2人分别获全国百篇优秀博士学位论文奖及提名奖,2人获北京市科技新星称号;2人获北京市优秀博士学位论文。4)在学科建设方面,其学术成果有力支持了北京工业大学凝聚态物理学科-北京市重点学科(2008年评估优秀并由重点建设学科升级为重点学科)的建设;支持了纳米科学与技术交叉学科-北京市重点学科的建设。

自2004年回国后,在国内外SCI学术期刊发表论文100余篇,其中高影响力学术期刊(一区论文)SCI论文20余篇,包括:Science, NATURE COMMUNICATIONS (2篇),PHYS. REV. LETTERS (3篇), NANO LETTERS (8篇), ACTA MATERIALA(10篇)等。作为项目负责人主持了国家重大研究专项课题(973)、国家杰出青年基金、国家自然科学基金重点项目及仪器基础研究专项项目等。
